Strategirummet was established in 2007 after Flemming Nissen left Dong Energy (now Ørsted). The purpose of the Strategirummet is to develop communication tools that create a greater understanding of the most important connections in the energy system and electricity markets. It is only when you work concretely with energy and market models yourself that you really come to understand the system.

Flemming Nissen has been responsible for business development and R&D at Dong Energy, and he has subsequently helped develop the Energy Systems program at SDU, where he has also taught as an associate professor.

Strategirummet does not have a preference for the different energy technologies and when they should be established. We are only interested in the energy system being developed on an informed basis, and we would like to help create this informed basis through our communication tools.

In addition to Flemming Nissen, two student assistants and 2 consultants are working on developing the communication tools. The tools are hosted by the IT company Illumi.
